Mr. Edward Lee Aliff Jr passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 at the age of 70. Ed was surrounded by his loving family as he went home to be with God. Ed is survived by his daughter, Katherine Aliff Thomas (Woody); his grandchildren, Kyle Thomas (Jena), Hannah Thomas, & Savannah Aliff; his great-grandchildren, Isabella Gaudry & Lena Roth; his siblings, Delores Archuleta (Mike), Garry Aliff (Karla), & Diane Lefevre (Rocky); his nieces Sandy David (Chris) & Jordan Plauche (Adam); his nephews Michael Archuleta (Jenn), Jared Lefevre, & Jeremy Aliff (Hailey); Ed is also survived by his many great nieces and nephews and his longtime girlfriend, Brenda Bourgeois. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Lee Aliff Sr & Gisela Aliff Stine (Keith); his son Robert Aliff; and nephew Christopher Archuleta. Born on April 29, 1952 in Fontainebleau, France, Ed was a lifelong resident of Marrero, La where he worked hard with his brother Garry at their company A&W Wholesale. He was a hard worker. He was generous. He was grumpy. He was funny. He lived life his way. He was LOVED and he will be greatly missed. Ed was loved by many and there is so much more that could be said about him, but the words of his brother Garry sum up just how much he meant to us all. "My big brother Ed. My hero. Ed made me feel safe when I was with him. He would always be there for me and me for him. The best brother ever. The best salesman I know. I will miss him so much and I’ll always have him in my heart. He was my big brother and closest friend. He lived large no matter what the circumstances were. He inspired me and made me a better man.
